RLBC provides parents with a suggested donation amount each year.
The suggested donation amount for 2026-2027 is
$250
Why is this so complicated? Why isn't there just one fund?
Answer: Taxes
Your donation to RLBC (a non profit) is tax deductible. Payments to field trips are not.
Payments for field trips are made to the RLBC Field Trip fund, becasue the Rapid Learner Booster Club (RLBC) handles field trip monies on behalf of the RL teachers.
(That's why we have two treasurers!)
RLBC Field Trip Fund:
Payments
The RLBC field trip fund, and field trip treasurer, exist to make everyone's lives easier. The fund collects and distributes money for the grade-specific field trips, so the teachers don't have to be accountants as well as educators.
The field trip fund is where your field trip PAYMENT goes.
How Much?
Your teacher will provide you a breakdown that shows how much each field trip costs. If you need help with the cost, please contact your teacher.
When do I pay for field trips?
As soon as possible-many field trips require deposits which need to be paid months in advance.
Every student goes.
The RLBC general fund provides scholarships for field trips, ensuring that every student can participate
RLBC General Fund:
Donations
The RLBC General Fund supports the programs, activities, and resources that enrich the Rapid Learner experience. RLBC is entirely funded by tax-deductible donations from our families and community.
We won’t ask you to sell wrapping paper or candy—we simply hope you’ll consider making a donation to support the RL program.
Make your donation go even further! Many employers offer company matching gifts, which can double (or sometimes even triple) your contribution. If your employer uses Benevity or another workplace giving program, search for G.A.T.E.P.O.S.T to see if your donation is eligible for a match.
All contributions are voluntary and are not required for enrollment or participation in the RL program.
Your donation to RLBC goes directly to the General Fund.
How Much?
$250
The suggested donation for 2026/27 covers the anticipated cost of everything mentioned below.
*if $250 is too much, any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. No donation is too small (or too large), and remember, your donation is tax deductible!
The RLBC General Fund supports RL students, teachers, and families by funding:
Educational enrichment — supplemental learning opportunities such as B Street Theatre programs, financial literacy workshops, and other enrichment activities
Classroom & curriculum resources — supplies and materials requested by RL teachers, including curriculum supplements such as Accelerated Reader (AR) licenses
Student scholarships — financial assistance to ensure every RL student has the opportunity to participate in field trips and activities
Community events — social events and activities that bring students and families together
Additional student opportunities — supplemental programs and activities that enhance the RL experience
Support for DPM — contributions and activities that benefit the broader DPM school community
RLBC's legal organization name is 'G.A.T.E.P.O.S.T" so you may see that on financial documents and pages
